Sections

Tappin' on th' section o' a song in th' song viewer can select th' section. Arrr, these settin's dictate th' behavior an' appearance o' section selection, savvy?

Color

Ye can change th' color o' th' section selector by tappin' on th' row t' use th' Color Builder. Blimey, this'll let ye create a custom color or choose from th' preset palette o' these partially opaque colors: Transparent, Red, Orange, Green, Blue, Purple, Pink, Grey, or Teal. (Default)

Selection Style

Th' selection style option can be used t' greatly improve th' visibility o' th' selected section. Ahoy, ye can change this t' one o' th' follow options:

  • None turns off visualization o' th' section selection.
  • Bar displays th' selection as a thin bar on th' left side o' th' screen. Th' thickness o' this bar be determined by th' thickness o' th' vertical position indicator.
  • Page highlights th' section across th' entire page as if a ruler was placed across th' screen.
  • Section places a rectangle around th' selection section with slightly rounded corners.

Selection Thickness

Ye can set th' thickness o' th' selection when usin' th' bar selection style. Th' Default options determines th' width o' th' bar from th' vertical position indicator. Other options include hairline, thin, medium, thick, thicker an' thickest.

Select Tapped Sections

Avast, section selection takes precedence over other user input events. OnSong determines automatically if a section should be selected. Options include:

  • Never will prevent sections from ever bein' selected.
  • Automatic will determine if th' section should be selected based on active features includin' if MIDI or scenes be assigned t' th' section, if lyrics projection be enabled or if ye be currently streamin' t' other recipients via OnSong Connect or OnCue. Default.
  • Always will always select sections.

Scroll Alignment

When sections be selected, they usually scroll into view in th' Song Viewer. Arrr, this option allows ye t' define where they should appear in relationship t' th' viewport. Th' song viewer will be scrolled as close t' th' desired settin's as possible as long as th' song viewer has room t' scroll.

  • Top aligns th' section t' th' top o' th' viewable area o' th' song viewer's view port.
  • Middle aligns th' section t' th' middle o' th' song viewer's viewport. (default)
  • Bottom aligns th' section t' th' bottom o' th' song viewer's viewport.

Scroll to Selected Section

When ye tap on a section, it be selected an' sends associated MIDI events, changes scenes an' presents lyrics. Blimey, by turnin' this option on, selectin' th' section will also reposition it into view on th' screen. Default be on.

Scroll Under Menubar

In OnSong, th' menubar an' statusbar hover above th' song viewer. This allows user interface components t' smoothly hide for full screen mode. Avast, however, when selectin' sections, this can cause th' content t' scroll under th' menubar. Ye can choose from th' followin' options for how content scrolls under th' menubar.

  • Never will prevent th' section from ever scrollin' under th' menubar under all circumstances.
  • Automatic will prevent th' section from scrollin' under th' menubar an' statusbar if th' menubar be visible an' if th' menubar be fully opaque. Semi-transparent menubar colors will allow th' content t' flow underneath th' menubar. (default)
  • Always will allow content t' scroll under th' menubar without adjustment.

Note: If ye be usin' an iPhone, th' Scroll Under Menubar option also applies t' th' toolbar that appears at th' bottom o' th' screen.
