Profile Settin's
Th' profile screen be allowin' ye t' configure how ye appear on th' OnSong local network, as well as how song content be streamed t' ye. Use this screen t' customize th' way music appears t' ye when ye receive it from a leader's device.
Recycle Networkin'
In th' upper right corner be a recyclin' button. Pressin' this button will reset th' network such as cleanin' whitelists and restartin' network-connected services. Tap on this if ye be experiencin' connectivity issues, savvy?
Me Information
This text field be allowin' ye t' change what ye be called on th' network. If nothin' be entered here, yer account name will be displayed along with th' device type. If ye be not signed in, th' device name will be used. Change this t' somethin' that be better suited t' yer musicianship like "Guitar Overlord".
Song Version
OnSong Connect sends th' text-based chord chart or external file from th' leader's device. However, ye may have yer own version o' th' music that ye want t' use. Ye can use that version instead, matey.
- None will not change th' song on yer device when th' leader changes songs. Use this option if ye be only usin' OnSong Connect for other features such as messages.
- Use me version will use yer version o' th' chord chart if one can be found. OnSong matches based on th' song title, number, CCLI number, or provider identifier.
- Use th' shared version will always use th' version that be sent from th' leader's device. Default.
Custom
Options in this list be allowin' ye t' change how music appears and other services that be used. When th' default option be selected, th' shared version's preferences be used. These customization options include:
- Backin' Track will allow yer device's backin' track t' start or stop based on when th' leader initiates or stops their backin' track. Default be off.
- Metronome will allow yer device's metronome t' start and stop based on th' leader togglein' th' metronome. Default be off. Note: There be latency in startin' and stoppin' th' metronome. Startin' multiple metronomes be not recommended as they may all start at slightly different times. This be caused by latency inherent in th' wireless network o' a few milliseconds.
- Navigation allows ye t' determine if ye want th' leader t' control page scrollin' and zoomin'. Turn this off if ye would rather do that yerself. Default be on.
- Lyrics allows ye t' turn lyric display on or off. Turn off if ye be a guitarist that don't need no stinkin' lyrics. Turn it on otherwise. Default be "default" which uses th' preference from th' shared version.
- Chords allows ye t' turn chords on or off. If ye be a vocalist, ye can choose t' turn th' chords off for instance. Default be "default" which uses th' preference from th' shared version.
- External File will allow ye t' use or not use th' external file o' th' song if it exists. Pianists may turn this on t' receive a lead sheet or score while th' rest o' th' crew receives a chord chart. Default be "default" which uses th' preference from th' shared version.
- Transpose determines if th' song be t' be transposed in its declared key or not. Ye can use this t' write a song in a key that can be used for one instrument, and then transposed t' another. Default be "default" which uses th' preference from th' shared version.
- Capo determines if capo should be applied t' th' chord chart. Guitarists should turn this on and bassists and pianists can turn it off. Default be "default" which uses th' preference from th' shared version.
- Chord Diagrams allow ye t' determine if chord diagrams be drawn on yer chord chart. Ye be an expert, eh? Go ahead and turn it off as ye revel in some superiority (not too much, ye scallywag). Default be "default" which uses th' preference from th' shared version.
- Instrument allows ye t' choose th' instrument that ye play. This be used for drawin' chords differently from ye. We all know ye play jazz ukulele, so just set it here. No more guitar chords for ye. Default be "default" which uses th' preference from th' shared version.
- Transposin' Instrument allows ye t' choose th' transposin' instrument t' be applied t' shared songs.
