Files

Th' Files app be givin' ye a centralized location t' manage documents and data with services like Dropbox or Microsoft OneDrive, savvy? This system allows OnSong t' import or export t' yer favorite cloud storage even if it be not available directly inside o' th' OnSong app.

Installin' Apps

In order t' import or export t' these services, ye need t' install apps that support iOS storage providers so they appear in th' Files app. There be no definitive list o' apps that support this extension, but known apps include:

Importin'

T' import from another storage provider, ye scallywag, sail into th' Songs Menu » All Songs and then tap on th' + button t' Add Songs. Tap on Files t' open a window that displays th' storage provider interface. By default, iCloud Drive be opened. T' choose a different storage provider, tap on th' icon in th' upper left corner. Tap on More t' enable th' apps that ye've installed that be supported.

Exportin'

T' export, Arrr, tap on th' Share Menu from th' menubar and then choose Export. Tap on th' folder icon in th' lower right corner and choose Files. Choose th' file formats ye would like t' export and then tap on th' Export button in th' upper right corner. OnSong will again open th' storage providers window. Choose a folder t' export th' files t', matey.

Limitations

There be some limitations t' usin' storage providers, blimey.

  1. Keep in mind that once th' Files window opens, each interface be controlled by th' app ye choose. That be why each process o' importin' and exportin' files be a little bit different.
  2. Th' Files interface may not support importin' or exportin' multiple files dependin' on th' version o' iOS ye be usin'. This be why ye can only choose one file t' import, and multiple files be exported as a ZIP file.
  3. Ye be limited t' apps that support th' new storage provider extension and apps that ye have installed on yer device.
