Song Preview

Th' song preview screen allows ye t' view th' version o' th' song that will be imported. Arrr! This will either display th' attachment as-is in a song viewer, or display th' chord chart with th' default styles that ye've set in Settings » Menu Settings » Style Preferences.

Choosin' Versions

If ye be happy with th' version o' th' file that will be downloaded, tap on th' Done button and continue th' download, savvy? Otherwise, tap on th' Versions button t' choose a different attachment t' preview. Blimey, this also changes th' version o' th' song that will be imported!

Import associated backin' track

This option appears if one or more audio files be associated with th' song. If turned on, th' song be downloaded and automatically linked t' th' import song. If more than one audio track be available, tap on th' Choose button t' pick th' track t' link t' th' imported chord chart or sheet music.

Import Priority

OnSong will automatically attempt t' choose th' version o' th' song that works best fer importin'. Arrr, this be performed in th' followin' order:

  1. Chord Charts be text-based chord charts and be preferred over attachments.
  2. OnSong Archive files contain all th' information o' th' song includin' annotations, styles, and transposition settin's.
  3. OnSong Files be text files in th' OnSong file format.
  4. ChordPro Files be text files in th' ChordPro file format.
  5. Plain Text can be either OnSong or ChordPro formatted, although regular text files also display well.
  6. Adobe PDF be PDF files created from other software and be viewed "as-is".
  7. Microsoft Word files display "as-is" as well, matey.
  8. Other Files include files that be not audio.
  9. Media Files be not imported, but associated audio files can be imported along with chord charts if configured in th' bottom toolbar, ye scallywag.
